Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition has been launched in India at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new special edition gets Gorkha-inspired styling and a distinctive green colour.
The new edition has been introduced as a tribute to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. It gets a new Gorkha Green colour and exclusive Gorkha-themed detailing, while the basic Classic 350 formula remains unchanged.
Bookings for the motorcycle have also opened from today, August 18, 2026.
Classic 350 Gorkha Edition gets a military-inspired look

The most noticeable change is the new Gorkha Green paint finish. The shade gives the Classic 350 a military-inspired appearance without altering its familiar retro design.
The side panels feature a bespoke insignia with crossed Khukris, which is the key visual link to the Gorkha Regiment. The motorcycle also gets Gorkha Edition-specific detailing, while the overall shape, bodywork and upright riding position remain the same as the standard Classic 350.
Royal Enfield has kept the changes fairly focused. There is no redesigned bodywork or major styling overhaul here. Instead, the company has taken the existing Classic 350 and given it a distinctive identity around the Gorkha theme.
No major mechanical changes

Despite the new name and appearance, the Gorkha Edition remains mechanically similar to the regular Classic 350.
It continues to use the 349cc, single-cylinder J-series engine, producing 20.2hp and 27Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has not introduced a more powerful engine for this special edition.
The chassis, suspension and braking hardware have also been carried over from the existing Classic 350. The idea here is clearly to offer a different look rather than create a different riding experience.

Assist and slipper clutch and Type-C charging

There are a couple of useful equipment additions on the Gorkha Edition. The motorcycle gets an assist and slipper clutch, along with a Type-C USB fast-charging port. These features have also been introduced on the latest Classic 350, so they are not exclusive to the Gorkha Edition. The assist and slipper clutch is designed to make clutch operation and downshifts smoother, while the Type-C port gives riders a more convenient way to charge compatible devices on the go.
The Gorkha Edition also retains the Classic 350’s semi-digital instrument cluster. The Tripper navigation pod is not fitted as standard, although Autocar India reports that it should be available as an accessory.
Gorkha Edition gets dual-channel ABS

The motorcycle continues with dual-channel ABS, along with the existing Classic 350 braking setup. There is no special off-road braking or suspension package despite the military-inspired theme. The Gorkha Edition remains a road-focused motorcycle, just like the regular Classic 350.
Gorkha Collection launched alongside the motorcycle
Royal Enfield has also introduced a dedicated Gorkha Collection alongside the motorcycle. The collection includes riding gear and lifestyle products such as Jet and Quest helmets, high-ankle leather boots, multifunctional headgear, apparel and collectibles. The products use design elements inspired by military uniforms, regimental insignia and the crossed Khukri motif.
This gives the Gorkha Edition launch a wider theme rather than limiting the tribute to the motorcycle itself.
Classic 350 Gorkha Edition price

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is priced at Rs 2,10,684 ex-showroom in New Delhi. Most reports have rounded this figure to Rs 2.11 lakh. The new edition sits around the middle of the Classic 350 range rather than being positioned as a premium mechanical variant. Bookings are now open across India.
The final on-road price will vary depending on the state and city because registration, insurance and other charges are added to the ex-showroom price.

Is the Gorkha Edition mechanically different?

No. This is the important thing to understand about the new motorcycle. The Gorkha Edition does not get a new engine, new chassis or a dedicated off-road setup. Mechanically, it remains very close to the current Classic 350. The changes are mainly focused on the Gorkha Green colour, crossed Khukri insignia and the special-edition identity.
That makes the Gorkha Edition more of a styling-led special edition than a new version of the Classic 350 underneath.
Verdict
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is a simple but well-targeted special edition.
At Rs 2.11 lakh ex-showroom, it keeps the Classic 350’s familiar 349cc engine and mechanical package while adding a new Gorkha Green colour and distinctive crossed-Khukri insignia. There is no major performance upgrade, and Royal Enfield has not tried to turn it into an off-road motorcycle.Instead, the company has focused on the motorcycle’s identity.
For someone who already likes the Classic 350 and wants something that looks different from the regular versions, the Gorkha Edition provides exactly that. For buyers looking specifically for more power or major new hardware, there is little extra here.
The appeal of the Gorkha Edition is therefore straightforward: the same Classic 350 underneath, but with a much more distinctive military-inspired character.
