Royal Enfield is preparing another special version of its popular Classic 350, and this one brings a distinctly military-inspired theme to the retro motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its expected launch in India.
Unlike a major model update, the Gorkha Edition is mainly about giving the Classic 350 a different identity. The motorcycle keeps the familiar Classic 350 design and mechanical package, but gets a new colour scheme and styling details inspired by the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army.
Military green paint and Gorkha graphics
The biggest change is the colour. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition gets a matte military green finish, giving it a more rugged appearance than most versions of the standard motorcycle.
The military theme is carried further with dedicated Gorkha Edition graphics. The side panels feature the crossed Khukri insignia, a symbol associated with the Gorkha Rifles, along with Gorkha Edition branding. The fuel tank also gets dedicated badging.
It is a simple change, but it works well with the Classic 350’s old-school design. Rather than adding unnecessary styling elements, Royal Enfield has used the colour and graphics to give the motorcycle its own character.
Chrome keeps the Classic look intact
While the new paint gives the motorcycle a military-inspired appearance, Royal Enfield has retained plenty of chrome.
The engine casings and exhaust get a chrome finish, while the motorcycle rides on chrome wire-spoke wheels. The chrome treatment gives the Gorkha Edition a more traditional look and separates it from some Classic 350 colour options that use blacked-out components and alloy wheels.
The rest of the motorcycle remains instantly recognisable as a Classic 350. It gets the same round headlamp, familiar bodywork, conventional mirrors and two-piece seat setup.
No major mechanical changes
The Gorkha Edition is not expected to bring any mechanical changes. It continues with the same 349cc, single-cylinder J-series engine used by the current Classic 350.
The engine produces 20.2hp and 27Nm and is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The suspension and braking setup are also expected to remain unchanged, with telescopic front forks, twin rear shocks, disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS.
This means the Gorkha Edition should offer the same relaxed riding character as the standard Classic 350. The changes are primarily visual rather than aimed at improving performance.

Features are expected to remain familiar
The spotted motorcycle also appears to retain the Classic 350’s familiar semi-digital instrument cluster, with an analogue speedometer and a small LCD display.
The latest Classic 350 has also received updates such as an assist and slipper clutch and a USB Type-C charging port on dual-channel ABS variants. These features are expected to be carried over to the Gorkha Edition as well, although the final equipment list will be confirmed by Royal Enfield at launch.
A Tripper navigation pod does not appear to be part of the spotted motorcycle.
Launch and price
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition has already started appearing at dealerships, suggesting that its launch is close. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in India on August 18, 2026. with deliveries likely to follow soon after.
Royal Enfield had not officially announced the Gorkha Edition or revealed its price at the time of the reports. The final price is therefore expected to be announced at launch.
For reference, the regular Classic 350 currently starts at around Rs 1.87 lakh, ex-showroom, although the Gorkha Edition is likely to command a premium depending on the variant and equipment offered.
