Navigating a return would mean importing the vehicle as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which instantly subjects it to India’s punishing 100% luxury import duties. If it does arrive via this route, expect a premium price tag hovering around the ₹75 Lakh to ₹85 Lakh mark, positioning it well above the current undisputed king of the segment, the Toyota Fortuner. Instead of battling the Fortuner directly on price, the reborn Pajero would enter a more elite tier, going head-to-head with the incoming Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and high-end variants of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
