2027 Honda CB300F Twister Debuts With Flex-Fuel Engine, New Styling and More Safety Features

The 2027 Honda CB300F Twister has been introduced in Brazil with updated styling, new suspension hardware, traction control and Honda’s FlexOne technology that allows the motorcycle to run on petrol or ethanol.

The changes are more than just cosmetic. For 2027, Honda has added traction control, a new Showa upside-down front fork and other safety and convenience features while retaining the motorcycle’s familiar 293.5cc single-cylinder engine.

More aggressive styling

The CB300F Twister already had a fairly sharp design, but Honda has made the 2027 model look more muscular.

The biggest visual change is around the fuel tank, which now gets a more pronounced shape and redesigned extensions. The headlight has also been revised, while the overall streetfighter profile remains familiar.

Honda is offering the motorcycle in two versions in Brazil: the CB300F Twister ABS and the CB300F Twister S. The S version gets a more distinctive blue-themed finish and can also be fitted with a removable rear seat cowl, giving it a sportier look when ridden solo.

293.5cc engine gets FlexOne technology

The mechanical package continues to centre around Honda’s 293.5cc single-cylinder, four-valve engine. It uses air cooling and electronic fuel injection, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch.

The interesting part is the FlexOne system.

The engine can run on either petrol or ethanol, with Honda offering slightly different output figures depending on the fuel used. On petrol, the engine produces 24.5 CV at 7,500rpm and 25.6Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. With ethanol, those figures increase to 24.7 CV and 26.2Nm respectively.

That makes the CB300F Twister particularly suited to Brazil, where ethanol is widely available as an automotive fuel. It also means riders are not tied to a single fuel type.

Traction control is now standard technology

One of the most significant upgrades for 2027 is Honda Selectable Torque Control, or HSTC.

The system is designed to reduce rear-wheel slip when the motorcycle accelerates on slippery or low-grip surfaces. It is a useful addition to a motorcycle in this segment, particularly for riders who use the bike in varying road and weather conditions.

Honda has also introduced a new Showa SFF-BP upside-down front fork. The steel Diamond-type frame continues unchanged, while the new suspension hardware gives the front end a more premium specification.

Equipment list gets a boost

The 2027 CB300F Twister continues with LED lighting, front and rear disc brakes and a digital LCD instrument panel.

Honda has also added its HISS security system, which works as an electronic immobiliser. A USB Type-C charging port is included as well.

The motorcycle gets dual-channel ABS on the ABS variant, while Honda’s HSTC traction-control system adds another layer of electronic assistance.

Despite the added equipment, Honda has kept the motorcycle relatively light. The official specification lists a dry weight of 142kg, along with a 14.1-litre fuel tank and a 789mm seat height.

What about India?

This is where things get interesting.

Honda previously sold the CB300F in India, and it also introduced a Flex-Fuel version of the motorcycle capable of running on fuel containing up to 85 per cent ethanol. That India-spec CB300F Flex-Fuel was subsequently discontinued.

The new 2027 CB300F Twister, however, has been introduced in Brazil. Honda has not announced an Indian launch for this updated version.

So, while the motorcycle could make sense for India given the country’s growing focus on ethanol-blended fuels, its return should not be treated as confirmed yet.

Price and availability

In Brazil, the 2027 Honda CB300F Twister starts at BRL 27,680 for the S version, according to Honda Brazil’s current model listing. The exact price varies by version.

The Brazilian-market motorcycle is therefore not directly comparable with an Indian motorcycle price, and converting the Brazilian price into rupees does not represent what the bike would cost if it were launched here.

For now, the 2027 Honda CB300F Twister remains a Brazilian-market model. But with its sharper design, USD front suspension, traction control and FlexOne engine, it does show how Honda is evolving its 300cc streetfighter platform.

And if Honda eventually decides to bring this updated version to India, it would enter a much more competitive 250cc-400cc motorcycle market than the one the original CB300F faced.
